Have any of you seen The Illusionist or Hollywoodland? We're thinking of catching a late movie tonight and I can't decide.Ended up staying home last night and laying low, so I feel like we should take advantage of our Saturday night by doing something fun.
It feels very much like Fall here today. I was just outside in my sweatshirt and shorts, and it was COLD! I miss summer warm weather already. I just feel like curling up on my nonexistent couch under a heavy blanket and watching movies all night. There's just something that is less romantic about pulling two chairs together and holding hands over the arm rests in an attempt to have a romantic movie night, so I guess that's why we go to the movies. We can lift up our arm rest and presto- it's a movie theater version sofa love seat! Since it's so windy outside and the nearest movie theater is only about 8 blocks away, I'll be bundling up tonight in my warm clothes. If you see a girl with a stocking cap, gloves, scarf and winter jacket walking down Broadway, that will be me.
Homemade chili and beers, anyone?

Now it is sticky and warm here today. Some parts of SD had tornados. Tomorrow is suppose to be in the 50's a 30 degree difference. I opted for mowing tomorrow since I won't sweat one drop!! Watching Neb. on TV and working on another blanket for Henrietta Bot. It is a chenille yarn that feels so cozy I am not sure I want to give it up!! haha... I tried to read but that is hard to do and watch football game!! Love your necklaces. Lots of viewing isn't there?
GOOOO SEE THE MOVIE!!! It is good...not super doooper outstanding, but definitely worth seeing. Have fun...tell B-head hello.
We went to the apple orchard yesterday. Paige, Dana, Colleen,Kelli, and even Gary. Jerzy was leading the ponies. The little kids had a great time. When we got home I made an apple crisp and some chili which was ready at 8:30 at night. I mowed the back lawn quick before it got toooo dark. I am getting sick of doing that. You think fall is coming? It is really cold here this morning. All the kids are in jeans it looks so weird. I think it would have been chilly at the football game yesterday. It was a good game even though Dad's team lost. Well I am all over the place here. Better go have my cup of jo to warm myself up and start my day on a high note!!
The apple orchard sounds like fun! Is it a family thing, or do you see young twentysomething couples doing that as a romantic date of sorts?
I like how you refer to your coffee as a cup of jo- apparently it's a "she?" ;)
Let me say the apple orchard is NOT what it used to be! It is great to watch the kids run around, but it is soooo overdone now. There is no free cider like there used to be for one! Yes maybe it came in a dixie cup in the past but it was still free. Now everything costs $$$. Three dollars to ride a horse for a minute, $2 to ride a train in a circle a couple times. I guess I envisioned the apple orchard as this cozy, hot apple cider sipping, free hail bail riding, family adventure.
I'm glad the kids had a good time. I was just expecting a little LESS maybe! You really had to be there to understand. It was just a little overwhelming.
