I think the cute puppy pictures are just never going to cease.

Okay- maybe they'll cease when he's 100+ pounds. We'll graduate into cute dog pictures, perhaps.

This is a picture of Koda and his sister Abby. 10 points goes out to anyone who can identify them properly. Not too hard if you scroll on down a bit, I suppose. Ha!

My blogging these days has consisted of puppy photos. He's just so adorable! Lucky for him. He's also very energetic and is teething and pees on stuff a lot. I've not been spending as much time online. We moved into our new place, and have been doing lots of settling in- rearranging the garage, weeding the front and back yard, and just getting adjusted to our new surroundings and schedule in general. Everyone's blogs have been sooo quiet this summer. I keep checking the Light Fantastik in hopes of seeing more pics of sweet Jack, but I suddenly understand more how much a new little being in your world changes things. Perspective changes. Sleep patterns change. The concept of sleeping barely exists, unless you count sleeping until 7:25 a.m. on a Sunday morning as "sleeping in." You thought you were going to have a lazy quiet Thursday night of watching movies? Wrongo.

In other news, I miss cable. I used to get 3 channels, and now due to our proximity to the foothills, we only get 2. One is FOX. Anyone who has ever watched FOX news in the evenings knows it's a fraction of a step up from A Current Affair. So sensationalistic. We don't get the paper because the paper in town stinks (my favorite recent stinky story involved a recent breaking news story on toe rings- the latest "hot trend"), so it's our main news source. Unfortunately. You can only watch so many Malcom in the Middle reruns, you know?

I have a bunch of custom orders still out there from the July trunk shows. If I have one piece of advice for y'all, it's "Don't do 2 trunk shows in one weekend, move the following weekend, get a puppy the following Tuesday, then go to NYC the following weekend." I loved all the experiences, but there IS such a thing as packing too much neat stuff into a 3-week period.
He bites and bites and bites...

then he does this.

*sigh*

a work in progress

I'm working on some picture frames for my dear friend Tracie's wedding. Glass never looks 1/4th as snazzy as when it's all soldered up! It's hard to tell as it was dusk when I took these, but the two shorter pieces of glass are a subtle pink/purple/orange solid glass, while the longer pieces are a clear textured non-colored glass. I thought the solid glass would cover up the cardboard photo backing, while the clear glass would look neat on a table as the color of the table would come through, or in front of somewhere with lots of sunshine. Obviously I'd need to adjust the solid glass depending on which way these frames will be going ...

We took Koda on his first walk through Old Town today. We stopped and grabbed coffee and breakfast sandwiches, and hung out on a bench outside the coffee shop. Here's a picture of Koda, who was sitting only moments before this shot. This was his second walk ever, so he's not quite got the concept down quite yet. Our walk included lots of sitting and carrying.

Next, Koda posed across the street from our favorite coffee shop, Starry Night.

Dogs + fire hydrants = some innate instinct?

We did manage to make it to New West Fest this weekend, which is a festival in Downtown Fort Collins celebrating the cities birthday complete with food and booths and music. I kind of wished I had a booth there, but in talking to someone did learn about a holiday festival at the arts center in town which is held in November, so I may apply to that event. I'm planning on sending in my application to do the Ballpark Market in Denver in September and October. If you recall, this was the outdoor antique flea market a few blocks away from the Colorado Rockies Stadium in downtown Denver. It went really well in June, so here's crossing my fingers that I get in and it goes well!

Still getting settled in to the new place. Today we spent way too much money at Target buying such treasures as storage bins, green & pink rugs, an ironing board and other unecessary necessities.

Koda got his shots yesterday, so we took him on his first official walk today. He did okay for a few blocks, then decided that he wanted to sit in the shade, so Brandon picked him up and carried him to the park. We met a few kids who loved him and acted like they wanted to play with us for hours, almost got run over by a deaf white Boxer dog with one blue eye and one brown eye, then walked/carried Koda home where he proceeded to lay in front of the big fan and immediately fall asleep.

Fancy that, waking up 3 hours earlier than normal on a Saturday morning. I have to admit that that seeing some cute fuzzy thing pouncing around the kitchen at 7 a.m. on a Saturday morning does help me rise and shine more quickly. That boundless puppy energy is inspiring! It's also tiring, as evidenced by the fact that I was nodding off at 10:30 p.m. last night.

What a crazy few weeks it's been. I spent a good 2-3 weekends preparing for my trunk shows, then had 2 trunk shows back to back one weekend, then spent the next weekend moving into a house. The following weekend was spent in New York City with my dear girlfriends and a dear mom, sister, husband and baby. Finally, we arrive at this weekend. No plans in sight, other than to spend just a little more time this morning lounging in my cowboy-print pajama pants. I may grab a coffee somewhere, and definitely hope to get back into creating.

I've finally found the time to upload some pictures of Koda, our new puppy! The first pic is him last Tuesday, and the second picture is of him 8 days later. He's sweet and defiant and loves sitting in front of our fan and pouncing on unsuspecting puppy toys. He is very good around Becki, in spite of her being gone for a bit this weekend, he's immediately calm in nature when she's around. We call her "Puppy Whisperer."
