a work in progress

I'm working on some picture frames for my dear friend Tracie's wedding. Glass never looks 1/4th as snazzy as when it's all soldered up! It's hard to tell as it was dusk when I took these, but the two shorter pieces of glass are a subtle pink/purple/orange solid glass, while the longer pieces are a clear textured non-colored glass. I thought the solid glass would cover up the cardboard photo backing, while the clear glass would look neat on a table as the color of the table would come through, or in front of somewhere with lots of sunshine. Obviously I'd need to adjust the solid glass depending on which way these frames will be going ...

Those are so cool...so you are up and running again. Good job I love the way those look can you see one with Dad's red glass? Well school starts here on Monday so it will be just the poop patrol here with me. It will be different my food lasts so much longer with just little ones during the summer it is every week to the grocery store. It will be calmer around here also. I have two newborns so maybe not that quiet but it will be better. One starts next week and the other on the 12th of Sept. I get to get use to one and then Hadley will start.

Thanks, mom! Can't believe I've never done picture frames before. It's nice that I have tons of quality 4 x 6 pieces of glass from the shop in Sioux Falls.

Summer is indeed winding down! It's been pretty cool here in the evenings.

Had a "ladies night" at my friend Cara's last night, so need coffee and H20 today. I keep waiting until we're more settled in to take pics of our new place, but will try to get some soon!!

I've been feeling a bit like a voyerist lately...I've been checking in and loving reading about your days, but haven't written much. These frames are going to be gorgeous! I should try to find a dress to match. ;)

I can't believe how quickly time goes! I'll be seeing you in AZ soon! Keep drinkin' that agua fria. love you!
