I've finally found the time to upload some pictures of Koda, our new puppy! The first pic is him last Tuesday, and the second picture is of him 8 days later. He's sweet and defiant and loves sitting in front of our fan and pouncing on unsuspecting puppy toys. He is very good around Becki, in spite of her being gone for a bit this weekend, he's immediately calm in nature when she's around. We call her "Puppy Whisperer."Koda Aug 2:

Ikes you can see him grow in leaps and bounds...you guys are in so much trouble sooner than you think!! He is so very cute. I am sure he will be a great companion and make you feel safe when you are alone at night...he would scare anyone when he is full grown and stand from paw to ceiling!! Haha..
I think you should of called him Bear!!
Bear was another one of the possibilities! :)
Isn't he huge? He walks under our short coffee table, and I keep thinking that he'd better enjoy that while he can, because soon he won't be able to imagine squeezing under a tiny space like that.
dear Nicki,
do you know when I can come and vist?
I really really want to see your cute little dog. I am jealous that you get to have a dog, and I want one too! My mom won't let me have one. You are really lucky! If I could have any dog it would be either a hot dog or a German Shepherd, or a toy poodle, because it would keep you warm.
I can't wait to see you again.
My grandma just told me maybe in October when I have my break I could spend a week with you. Then I could take care of your dog. I could play with it, feed it, sleep with it (maybe, if it stays there).
Love ya,
Danni
Dear Danni,
We miss you, and you are welcome to visit anytime! Our dog Koda would love to meet you. I hope you can visit before he gets big! He will be a beautiful big dog, but is so very cute as a little puppy!
Our new dog is a Great Pyrenees, also sometimes called a Pyrenean Mountain dog because he would live up in the mountains and help farmers herd their sheep. This is what he'll look like when he's older (taller than regular dogs- like Brandon!):

Ooh- I think German Shepherds are very beautiful dogs! I am glad I waited until I was older to get a dog- they are a LOT of work. He wakes me up at 3 a.m. every night to go to the bathroom, and bites and barks a LOT. He has so much energy, and is 'teething' so he chews everything- including my favorite shoes! :)
Me and Becki and Brandon would be so happy to see you in October. Please let us know when your break is so we can hopefully plan for a Danni elk calling visit.
Love,
Nicki
