I just cut 5 inches off my hair on a whim. I know I wanted something a little different, but had no plans of going this short until 3 minutes before walking out the door. The final push is when Brandon told me to go for it right before I was leaving.
I cut my hair myself up until a few years ago because I didn't have the budget to pay someone else. Now that I can afford real haircuts, I've learned that bringing in a picture is key! I always had a clear idea of what I wanted in a haircut, but was really horrible at putting that into words. I actually bought a hairstyle magazine, so there was no question what I meant when I said I wanted "short, flippy layers." The magazine helped, but some of those haircut examples in those magazines are a little wild- unless you're lucky enough to work in an industry where asymmetrical hair is embraced.

Really Aunt Pam inspired you right? You look ten years younger and will probably be carded for everything now!! I love it and I bet your hair is so healthy feeling right now. People at work will be doing a double take... It is fun to be able to do different things. You look so refined and fun....good work Brandon you helped her go for it.
AH! SO CUTE! I love it! It's just perfect, Nicki!
