Our sweet Ko broke a tooth a few weeks ago, so he had to partake in an all-day visit to the vet to have his tooth pulled today. It was a full-blown surgery complete with anesthesia and lots of take-home medication, so our buddy is not himself tonight!
He's been sleeping a lot, and in between naps we'll find him sitting or standing in random spots throughout our apartment. I find myself monitoring his every move, updating Brandon from another room, "Brandon- Koda's standing up on all fours in the hallway next to the closet! He's been there for two minutes now!" as if it's breaking news. Koda really does have his few favorite spots in our place, and it's odd to ever find him somewhere new. Not late-breaking-news odd, mind you, but strange nonetheless.

Anyway, it's kind of throwing me off a bit that my always-enthusiastic running buddy is out of commission tonight. I was scheduled to go on a jog, but spent most of the night laying next to him instead.

Poor little buddy! I hope he gets better and fee
ls like himself soon!
Oh, poor thing!! Josi was sick for the first time and I too didn't want to take my eyes off of her. It's so hard to judge comfort and behavior from non-speaking beings!! You want to be like, "Koda, why are you standing there like that? What are you thinking? Are you going to pass out?" Then having to judge if the behavior is normal or if you have to take him back to the pet hospital...Not fun. Even less fun for Poor K diddy.
Kelli,
If I feel like this with a furry friend, I seriously cannot IMAGINE what it feels like when your baby is not feeling well! I think I would freak out, then I tell myself that in a real scenario, I'm just sure there's part of your motherly instinct to keep calm and cool.

Yeah it's not easy. Jay was working out of town too so I couldn't yell to him in the other room for support! How's Koda now?
I hope Ko-Ko is feeling better! Toothe issues are not any fun. Maybe he needs to come play in my yard to feel better. P.S. This is such a handsome picture of him...I love it.
